Air core coils are one kind of coils, and coils in circuits usually refer to inductive coils, which work on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The mounting board of electronic components in any electronic equipment is carefully arranged, rationally laid out and rationally designed by engineers and technicians according to the performance characteristics of the various components used. As an air-core coil installer, you only need to pay attention to the following issues.
(1) The installation position of the hollow core coil should be in accordance with the design requirements, and the relative positions of the hollow core coil and other components should be in accordance with the design regulations, or else the normal operation of the whole machine will be affected. For example, in a simple transistor radio, the position of the high-frequency choke and the magnetic antenna should be properly and reasonably arranged, and the antenna hollow-core coil and the oscillating hollow-core coil should be perpendicular to each other, so as to avoid the influence of mutual coupling.
(2) Before installation, the hollow core coil should be visually inspected. Before use, check whether the hollow core coil structure is firm, whether the lead contact is loose, whether there is any looseness between the turns, whether the core rotation is flexible, whether there is any slip buckle, etc.. After these aspects are inspected and qualified, then install.
(3) If the hollow core coil needs to be fine-tuned during use, the method of fine-tuning should be considered. Some hollow-core coils need fine-tuning during use, and it is inconvenient to change the number of turns of the hollow-core coil. So the method of fine-tuning should be considered when selecting. For example, single-layer hollow coil, you can use the end point near the multi-turn trapping hollow coil method of removal, that is, pre-wrap one end of the hollow coil 3 ~ 4 turns, fine-tuning when moving its position can change the inductance. Practice has shown that this adjustment method can achieve inductance 2% -3% fine-tuning. In the short-wave, ultra-short-wave circuits using hollow coils, often reserved half-turn for fine-tuning, and this half-turn is removed or folded to change the inductance to achieve fine-tuning. Fine tuning of multi-layer hollow coils can be achieved by moving a segment relative to each other, and the number of turns in the moveable segment should be 20%-30% of the total number of turns. Hollow coils with cores can be adjusted by adjusting the position of the core in the hollow coil tube to achieve fine-tuning of the inductance of the hollow coil, and it has been proved that the range of fine-tuning can be up to 10% -15%.
(4) When using hollow core coils, care should be taken to maintain the inductance of the original hollow coil. When the hollow core coil is used, do not change the distance between the hollow core coil and the hollow core coil as well as the shape of the hollow core coil, otherwise the original inductance of the hollow core coil will be affected. Especially the higher frequency, i.e., fewer turns of the hollow core coil, so the current high-frequency hollow core coils for TV sets are usually sealed and fixed with high-frequency wax or other dielectric materials. It should also be noted that, when repairing, do not arbitrarily change or adjust the position of the original hollow core coil to avoid detuning failure.
(5) The adjustable air core coil should be installed for easy adjustment. The adjustable air core coil should be installed in a position where the machine can be easily adjusted so that the inductance of the air core coil can be adjusted to the working condition.
